Award-winning cuisine in the QuattroPole cities

Experiencing foodie traditions in three countries and four cities is part and parcel of enjoying the QuattroPole destinations. Nine top restaurants with a total of eleven Michelin stars are taking their diners on a cross-border gourmet voyage of discovery.

The capital city of Luxembourg is home to many award-winning chefs, but it is proud of four chefs in particular who share four Michelin stars between them. At Clairefontaine, Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Magnier and his wife Edwige Magnier welcome diners in the city’s old town. The restaurant serves Luxembourg cuisine – a melange of French tradition and Mediterranean culture.

A bridge leads to the Mosconi restaurant in the former brewery district in the capital of the Grand Duchy. The gourmet restaurant was established here by award-winning northern Italian chef Ilario Mosconi and his wife Simonetta. Diners are seated in small, cosy rooms and enjoy Mediterranean-inspired compositions with produce sourced exclusively from the award-winning chef’s Lombardy home.

Luxembourg City gained another culinary star in 2017: Fabrice Salvador serves up extraordinary cuisine, a fusion of Asian finesse and local foodie tradition, in his restaurant La Cristallerie

In the brand new restaurant Les jardins d'Anaïs, which was rewarded in 2019 with a Michelin star, chef Christophe Quentin offers a classical and creative cuisine. Located a few minutes away from the city center, the restaurant and its hotel offer a unique experience in an idyllic and green setting.

Michelin-star chef Léa Linster also has a presence in the capital, albeit not a restaurant: She tempts people through the doors with her madeleines, brioches and crème brûlées at Délicatessen at 4, Rue de l'Eau.

Metz welcomes in foodies with exquisite regional produce at La Table. Tucked away in the 4-star Hotel La Citadelle, Michelin-starred chef Christophe Dufossé has put the capital city of Lorraine on the map for lovers of French cuisine.

One of Germany’s best chefs has taken up residence in an elegant Gründerzeit-style villa in Saarbrücken. Chef Klaus Erfort serves up compositions that make for curious discoveries and indulgent experiences at GästeHaus Erfort. The chef, who has three Michelin stars to his name, combines various aromas and textures to produce perfectly balanced creations in his modern dishes.

At Esplanade, awarded one Michelin star, diners can also experience ultra-indulgent moments from the kitchen and cellar in a relaxed atmosphere. Chef de Cuisine Silio Del Fabro pampers diners with French-inspired culinary creations within the rooms of the lovingly restored Gründerzeit-style villa in the idyllic Nauwieser district. The adjacent boutique hotel will also open in late summer 2019.

In Trier, two Michelin stars sparkle above Becker’s, where diners are welcomed in an elegant and modern restaurant. The culinary compositions that the award-winning chef pairs with wine from his own vineyard have a reputation extending as far as Luxembourg and Lorraine. Wolfgang Becker is inspired by traditional French cuisine but conjures up dishes to his own particular taste with pleasure and the ultimate in craftsmanship. Alongside the gourmet restaurant, Becker also runs a wine tavern and a hotel.
